Learn about how Suncor keeps its employees safe and productive in an incredibly challenging environment! Seth Calkins, Safety Supervisor at Suncor Energy in Commerce City, will tell us all about the unique safety and ergonomic challenges posed by a major refinery. How do you keep operators aware of the state of the chemicals going through the plant? How do you keep workers safe in an environment where flammable and highly toxic chemicals are constantly present? What is the best way to operate a valve when it is 7 feet above the ground? Come and find out in this fascinating presentation. As before, we will plan to meet for the presentation at 5:30, and enjoy dinner and social time afterwards. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to programs@rmhfes.org.
