Electronic Membership Application/Renewal Process

Well, as the chapter boldly strides into the 21st century (or at least the late '90s), we can accept membership applications and renewals electronically through the chapter website! This may be particularly useful for those who prefer to use credit cards to pay for professional society memberships.

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Human Factors & Ergonomics Society web site. As the leading organization for human factors and ergonomics professionals in the region, the Rocky Mountain Chapter is proud of our long history in the area, our affiliation with our national body and the networking we do with other professional organizations.

This web site allows us to provide services to our members and communicate to the wider community. We hope you find the web site useful. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your inquiries and comments.

May 17 Meeting

  • What and When? RMHFES Chapter meeting at Honeywell in Colorado Springs on May 17 from 6:30 - 8:30
  • 1110 Bayfield Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80906
  • Topic Honeywell's VPP (Volunteer Protection Program), a compliance program with the highest OSHA designation of company level Health and Safety Standards.
  • Chapter member, Keith Osborne, is the spearhead and implementer of Honeywell's VPP program. He will be covering the following topics:
  • 1. Refreshments
  • 2. Introductions
  • 3. Overview of the Ergonomics/Wellness Program here at Honeywell. The presentation will detail how the program started from nothing and evolved into an OSHA and Honeywell Global Best Practice. We will cover how assessments are done here and the variety of options we use for stations and how we are melding wellness and ergonomics together for a more well-rounded employee.
  • 4. Tour of the facility to show the different types of stations we have, some of those challenges.
  • 5. A stop at our Cyber Kiosk area where we have a variety of stations set up for people to stay mobile while they train
  • 6. Also a stop at the Ergonomics Lab and a discussion on how it is used in the assessment process.

Meetings? If so, suggest a location or idea.

Casual get togethers. BBQ anyone? Go to an outdoor event together?
